It was four months
before my step daughters 12th birthday and her dad and I were
undecided what we wanted to do for her. After some searching I came across a
great idea a SPA PARTY!
After searching for
ideas I settled on a theme that I saw on Pinterest through The Tomkat Studio
{REAL PARTIES} SOPHIE’S FABULOUS SPA BIRTHDAY PARTY! The site had plenty of
pictures to base the party off of and I tried my best to find the items I
needed.Invitations, cupcake toppers, happy birthday banner, fancy labels, and misc. labels were all part of a package I bought on Etsy called Spa Party Full Printable Party Collection by The TomKat Studio. I just emailed the details and a customized electronic file was created
Here is what was included:
Here is a picture of one set of flip
flops so you have an idea
I tried to set the mood and hung some
opalescent tablecloths purchased from Party
City from the archway to mimic curtains and set up a small entry table
that included a framed welcome to Mckenzie’s spa printable, a vase of flowers,
a candle, and a few jars of bath salts. The bath salt display I made by using
small mason jars, striped cardstock to add to the lid, and two different color
bath salts that had the scent of cotton candy and blueberry. The bath salts
were purchased from Etsy through GigiSoapShop,4oz
Dead Sea & Epsom Bath Salt – Blueberry Crumble, & LaDolceVitaBathNBody,
Pink Cotton Candy – Try Me Foaming Bath Salts, I combined the salts in layer form and added a white
ribbon to top the look off.
Our formal dining room was the location
for food, drink, and sweets. We lined the wall with another opalescent
tablecloth and hung the Happy Birthday banner which was part of the spa
printable. On the table I created a candy bar which were jars adorned with pink
ribbon and fancy labels another item that was part of the spa printable. I
labeled the jars cucumber pads which were originally supposed to have green apple gummy rings but I could not find them in stores so I settled on
mint M&M’s, nail files which were vanilla wafer cookies, bubble bath which
were gumballs, powder puffs which were cotton candy, and lipsticks which were
pink bubble gum flavored candy sticks. Next I purchased some small milk bottles
from Esty at marionsvintagebakety
and labeled them spa potion no. 9, the labels I purchased at Walmart and customized them at
home. I added blue and white paper straws purchased from Michael’s and
paper cut out lips purchased at Walmart. For the signature drink I decided to make a cotton
candy drink so I added cotton candy and sprite to the bottles and from what the girls tell me
they were delicious. The sleep mask cookies were
purchased from Etsy at Sugarmamabykim
spa themed decorated sugar cookies with a customized message to
“RELAX”. The cupcake display was bought at Party
City and the toppers for the cupcakes I made by using images included
in the spa printable I just had to hot glue two together and placed a stake in
the middle. The cupcakes and roses were purchased at Publix. I purchases two dozen pink roses pulled the leaves
off and cut the stems down to fit three medium mason jars.
The table setting was put together using a rectangle
plate purchased from Burlington department
store which held the soap cupcakes purchased on Etsy LoveLeeSoaps Jumbo Cotton
Candy Cupcake Soap, a small upright mirror from the Dollar Store, a
face towel from Target that I created the flower embellishment, a personalized
bowl purchased from Etsy Magnoliacreativeco Spa Party Soap Dish as seen in The
TomKat Studio, Brush & shower Puff from the Dollar Tree,Mud Mask from Beauty Land
Coture, Head Band from Sutra Yoga,Flat Wooden Sticks to apply mask from the Dollar
Store, and rock candy soap purchased from Etsy Ajsweetsoap Rock Candy Soap - Cotton Candy. The thank you gifts were also at
this table which included nail polish in the two main colors of the party pink
and blue adorned with a label and ribbon.
And some close ups:
To the side I had a nail polish station
where they were able to view and pick the colors they wanted during their
manicure and pedicure.
The pedicure station I set up four
folding chairs with a white towel draped over the back. I placed four white
bins purchased from the Dollar Tree on the floor in front of the chairs for the
girls feet to go in, inside I had 4 blue towels I rolled up and wrapped with
white tool adorned with another label from electronic file purchased from Etsy
from Spa Party Full Printable Party Collection by The TomKat Studio. I had a
small container to the side which had the bath bomb from the Dollar Tree and a
nail set that included toe separators, nail clipper, nail file, and cuticle
stick purchased from the Dollar Store
The girls got to take almost everything you see in the pictures home for their goody bags including:
